My wife is an extremely talented writer who blogs on life with a special needs child. Recently she’s taken on Sephora for their insensitive naming of a particular lipstick, Apple for their dictionary’s definition of the word retarted and many more great causes.
Last week, she was watching the Olympics and was a set aback by a commercial that was all about the moms. Her point is that yes, absolutely mom’s are amazingly important but mom’s are only part of the story. Dads also step up to the plate and really deliver sometimes as well. The commercial should have focused on parents and parental figures who have stepped up and molded the next generation. She responded in the way that she does best by writing about it…
For the dads is a post dedicated to the dads. It’s a celebration of the things that the dads who are brave enough and strong enough do for their family every day. I’m very proud to be a dad, it’s my single strongest defining characteristic that permeates everything else that I do.
